Training Services Transition

Atwea College focuses resources on Secondary Education and Community Learning

Atwea College has made a strategic decision to phase out its Training Services division by 30 June 2026, enabling greater investment in  Alesco Secondary College. and community learning programs.

The decision, approved by the Atwea Board as part of the organisation’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, represents a strategic return to Atwea’s core mission of supporting young people through innovative secondary education and delivering accessible community learning through our Learn for Fun courses.

Alesco Secondary College will continue to grow and the organisation is actively exploring campus opportunities in new areas. This is a planned, strategic decision that positions Atwea for a strong future focused on our core mission.

Current training students will be supported to complete their qualifications through quality partner organisations. We are working to ensure that successfully completed units of work by students will transition to their new provider.

For current students:

If you’re currently enrolled in an Atwea training course, you will have received direct communication about your transition options and support available. If you have not yet received this, please reach out to [email protected]

Your learning will continue, and we are working on ensuring that your progress is protected.

For prospective students:

Some courses (like our 1 or 2 day courses) are still available to enrol and complete prior to 30 June 2026.  Please call 02 4925 4200 to speak to our staff regarding these courses.

Our Future Focus

Atwea remains committed to accessible, community-based learning through:

  • Alesco Secondary College – supporting young people who haven’t found their place in mainstream schooling.
  • Learn for Fun – flexible adult learning courses for personal enrichment.
