What is Tech Savvy Seniors?

The Tech Savvy Seniors program is designed for those who have little or no experience in using technology or require additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technology, so they can access information and services online, or connect with family and friends.

The program (held in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra) is available to seniors (aged 60 years and above) and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elders (aged 50 years and above) and is fully subsidised by the NSW Government.

Program goals

  • Develop skills and confidence to access information online (including services you may need or fun information about hobbies/things you love to do)
  • Reduce the overwhelm of using technology
  • Develop skills and confidence to use technology like computers, ipads/tablets and smartphones
  • Increase confidence to use technology to communicate with family and friends
  • Increase digital inclusion for seniors in NSW
  • Reduce social isolation for seniors in NSW
  • Increase access to online government information and services among older people in NSW.

  9am-1pm with a break for morning tea

  • Enrolments can be made in our Raymond Terrace or Tuncurry campus’s 8.30am-2pm Monday-Friday.
  • NB – Please bring your own device – laptop, ipad or tablet (You can still attend if you don’t have one)
