Introduction to Massage

Learn the basics of massage and you have the power of relaxation in your own hands. By relieving tension in muscles, the mind can also be set free from stress and this will allow complete rest for your whole body.

  • Course includes some discussion on anatomy for practical purposes and the application of massage techniques.

Who might be interested in this 6 week course?

  • Individuals, couples or anyone looking to learn the basic techniques of massage as a hobby or as an introduction to the exploration of massage therapy as a career in the future.

Learning Outcome:

  • By the end of the course, students will be able to perform a one hour relaxation massage incorporating 7 consecutive sequences to use confidently on family and friends.
  • Students will have an increased knowledge of the large muscle groups of the body, their location and actions.

Requirements List:

  • 2 Large bath towels (bath sheets)
  • 3 small bath towels
  • 1 hand towel
  • 1 Pillow (optional)
  • Please wear underwear or swimwear as massage will be involved in the course

  • Sometimes a course is either postponed or cancelled if there is not enough enrolments.. It is therefore wise to purchase your requirements after you have confirmed with us that your class is running (usually within three working days of the proposed start date).

Course enrolment must be accompanied by a fee; we are unable to hold places for people or accept deposits on Lifestyle courses. Once enrolment is completed students will receive a course confirmation by email. This course confirmation constitutes a receipt. Please check your confirmation email to ensure you have the correct time, date and location of your course as well as any necessary requirements. Parking fees may apply at some venues.
