Excel 2010 Training in Newcastle!

The Introduction to Excel 2010 training session is designed to give you the basic skills and knowledge required to use one of the world’s best-known spread sheet applications.

Some of the tasks that Microsoft Excel 2010 may be used for are:

  • Number crunching – create financial data, cash flows, budgets, timesheets and invoices to name just a few;
  • Creation of lists which can be easily filtered, sorted and manipulated in a variety of ways; and
  • The graphical display of data by way of charts and/or pivot tables;

By the end of the training session you will be able to:

  • Start and close down MS Excel;
  • Navigate MS Excel;
  • Use basic Windows skills such as cutting, copying and pasting in MS Excel;
  • Work with worksheets including adding, moving, copying, deleting and renaming worksheets;
  • Insert basic formulas such as SUM and AVERAGE;
  • Navigate the MS Excel Help menu;
  • Use the AutoFill feature; and
  • Know the difference between Absolute and Relative referencing

Requirements:

  • USB, notebook & pen

Prerequisites:

  • Participants should be familiar with the Windows operating system.
  • Participants will be required to have reasonable keyboard skills.

Atwea College offers a wide variety of Business, Lifestyle & Leisure courses at various locations throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Region and the Mid North Coast.
Course enrolment must be accompanied by a fee; we are unable to hold places for people or accept deposits on Lifestyle courses. Once enrolment is completed students will receive a course confirmation by email. This course confirmation constitutes a receipt. Please check your confirmation email to ensure you have the correct time, date and location of your course as well as any necessary requirements. Parking fees may apply at some venues.
