After school I finished a Certificate III in Aged Care and worked in residential care facility while I studied at university to become a registered nurse. I’ve worked in both public and private hospitals and it was where I discovered my love for teaching.
I’ve since completed a Masters in Nursing (majoring in clinical education) and worked for the University of Newcastle helping student registered nurses in the classroom and on placements. I’ve also worked as a clinical nurse educator in a large residential aged-care facility and completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I then worked as a clinical manager but felt I was losing touch with my passion for teaching – which led me to Atwea.
During my career I found that the greatest quality practitioners came through WEA Hunter (Atwea). Wonderful trainers are matched by a great business. I couldn’t be prouder to part of such a wonderful, expanding and quality education provider!
